Recently, the number of children who learn at home has been increasing so rapidly, and many parents seem to think that they are the best teachers for their offspring. However, others, including many education experts worry about this phenomenon, and try to persuade the adults saying that public school and official teacher are the best for the children’s growth. In my opinion, I also strongly believe that parents are often not the best teachers for the young.
First of all, parents lack professional knowledge for education. While the school teachers have learned sophisticated pedagogy, children’s behaviors and other important educational information before they become educators, parents have no professional skills to teach their children unless they are the official teachers themselves. Sometimes this could lead to very detrimental for the juvenile because they may not get enough and proper education due to the parents’ inappropriate educational methods. According to numerous researches, people who didn’t completed basic formal education courses at school tend to feel hard to harmonize with society. This fact means that the only education provided by parents is not enough for children to be well-matured people in the future.
Secondly, parents can’t teach their children on the objective standards. Since all parents have certain degree of instinctive, absolute love for their children, they usually can’t punish the young very well. In other words, they tend to embrace their children’s faults even if the mistakes are seriously needed to be fixed. As a result, the youth may not understand what is wrong, and sometimes can’t distinguish the bad from the good. Recently, many articles debunk the social trend that parents have become so benevolent for their children, making them reckless, rude, who are now called “mama boy” or “papa girl”
Lastly, a formal education detached from the parents is very crucial for young students to mature as independent social beings. Unlike parents, teachers from public institution can treat the students more evenly. In addition, the instructors help to understand what our society is, which is quite different from their family and household. For example, most American parents send their children to go camping, school, and other public places without them, since the immature are needed to have some experience being far away from home in order to be independent beings.
Of course parents have some qualities that are unique and very helpful for educating the children. Still, it is more important for the young to have formal education since the school, and other public institution can provide them professional knowledge and social experience, which are can not be given by their parents. Regarding that more people still want the school teachers and most parents are not the most suitable for education, we should reconsider whether parents are the “best” even for their children’s social education.

a movie talk-Swiri-2.my comment
I think the main message this film brings to us is the reality of two Koreas’ ironic situation, which can be called the ‘silent war.’ Still, Koreans suffer from the disunion of two Korean governments. Superficially, the high officials of both sides try to reunite together, but in the deep sense, no one truly attempts to understand the other and wants to be a unitary state because they worry about that they have to give up something they enjoy during the isolation.

This political sequence is depicted well in at the end of the film. In contrast with the dejected end of love that Joong-Won and Bang-Hee kept, the sports stadium was filled with the outcry of spectators who shouted the reunion of Korea.

At the same time, the movie implies another point. The reunion of two Koreas can be possible when it is supported by Korean people’s true awareness about this reality on the unification. And that understanding of the actual situation shouldn’t be concerned only with political advantage. Sadly, the problem regarding the unity of Korea has been ‘only’ dealing with the political issues, neglecting the simple fact that we, Koreans, were the ‘same’ people in the ‘same’ nation just some 60 years ago. Now, I also believe Koreans should consider more about the history, ethnicity, and society before short-sighted benefits that previous politicians pursued. After that, the sincere unification of Koreas will come.

A movie talk-Swiri-1.story

What I want to tell you at here as one of the great Korean films is Swiri(shiri). The director if the movie is Je-Kyu Kang. The released date is February 13th, 1999. It was starred with Seok Kyu Han, Min-Sik Choi, Kang-Ho Song, Yoon-Jin Kim. First, let me tell you about the story of the film.
One day, as the agents at the national top secret security bureau(OP), Joong-Won Yoo (Seok Kyu Han) and his partner Jang-gil Lee were supposed to meet a weapon swindler who suggested them to give information about a sabotage. However, the information provider was suddenly killed by someone, and Joong-Won instinctively perceived that the sniping was related with the top sniper in North Korea, Bang-Hee Lee.

After a brief investigation, the secret agents found out the news that the opponent tried to get a destructive bomb and that a special force of North Korea already took the explosive. The counter terrorists tried to catch them, but the trial was failed as if someone inside their team provided information to the terrorist. Beyond the suspicion against each other in the group, Joong-Won noticed a tragic fact that his girlfriend was the bomber whom he was pursuing.

Finally, the spy teams of both sides met in a soccer stadium. Along with the extremely tensed situation, the South Korea operative discovered and defused the bomb, but Jang-gil was killed and Bang-Hee was still alive. At the end of the running fight, Joong-Won found her when she was targeting a South Korea official. The eyes of the lovers met temporarily, and two continuous gunshots followed soon. One that failed to assassinate the officer and one that penetrated her by. In the end, while police arrive at the site and Joong-Won felt something mournful, the two Korea friendship soccer match at the stadium finished peacefully.

Um...capitalism?-2
this situation, adopting more market-based econmy, is really absurd, because the more we try to be liberal on market, the more serious the economic depression will be.
Why? As you know, as the customers of market are everyone in society, economic destruction of any economic class can negatively affect to the whole groups participating in market. Moreover, because the capitalism can be more disasterous as the economic policy become more 'liberal', The government should control appropriately the market; however, the reality is going to the opposite.
The evidence of this economic catastrophe is easy to find; the current situation of US. Now, that nation, which seems to be the economic superpower and the precursor of free market and neo liberalism, is beginning to fall at least in economic field. The true reason of its depression is its government's foolish economic policy.(well...I can bet you that no economists can disagree with my opinion, completely.)
So I think we shouldn't just regard capitalism as the 'present of god' or the 'perfect system'...as someone did... . We need to find better economic system that can truly make the market work appropriately. (so that no more f***ing hedge fund and diabolical monopoly and M&A can exist.)
I believe capitalism is a success, but we shouldn't be satisfied with this small success. We should devise a better social and economic system so that everyone can compete fairly! Yes...we must do the job to realize the justice of society and of the world.
I hope that in the future, I can see the world in which everyone can get as much as they try hard. We can make it.
-plus: I'm not marxist, though.

Um.... capitalism?-1
Um....yes...capitalism.....the system adopted by the society I live in...the system which many people sxtol for the general quality lives of ordinary people......one of the most debatable system as the best economic system...
I suddenly thoguht about capitalism when I passed by the road, near which many restaurants emanate(?) the smell of meats....the problem is...I have no money...
Yes. It's the truth of capitalism. Obviously, it developed the economy with unprecedented speed, and many people have overcome their absolute poverty. Truly, it is revolutionarily good thing.
But let's think more deeply. you would also know 'unprecedented' number of the poor compared to the number of the rich. It's the truth of capitalism, too.
Moreover, I perceived capitalism doesn't exist for 'everyone' except those who can afford to buy products. come to think about an example. You may be impressed by the huge and ornate buildings in many cities. But they are, literally, not 'for you'. al the abundance of jewelries and dishes is simply for the people who have money.
yes, I acknowledge that it's not the problem itself. The problem is, captitalim triggers this disparity and solarity of wealth, if the system doesn't be revised or supported by many other 'social' methods. In spite of this crucial fact, the world tries to be more 'capitalistic' in the name of neo liberalism, to overcome the economic depression.

1st SAT essay practice
Think carefully about the issue presented in the following excerpt and the assignment below.
-> exerpt: There are two kinds of pretending. There is the bad kind, as when a person falsely promised to be your friend. But there is also a good kind, where the pretense eventually turns into the real thing. For example, when you are not feeling perticularly friendly, the best thing you can do, very often, is to act in a friendly manner. In a few minutes, you may really be feeling friendlier.
Assignment: Can deception-pretending that something is true when it is not- sometimes have good results? Plan an write an essay in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.
Brain storming: ->Deception can't make itself to be true in any way.
1. Pretending and believing something which is not true can't make it true.
2.Historical facts-> 천동설, 마녀 등.
3. concealing one's inherent character can't last long
Some people say pretending to have a certain emotion makes us really feel it. They even argue that 'good' deceptions can contribute to good results. However, I believe deception can't turn out to be true in any way because it has its own limits. First of all, Ostentation can't be equivalent to the truth in matter-of-facts. For example, in medieval Europe, many religious leaders made false theory and belief to explain natural phenomena in accordance with the Bible. For one thing, they asserted that the earth was the center of the universe and they believe it to be true even if they lacked objective information to support it. However, many people at the time accepted the idea and no one was dare to question the fallibility of the belief. As a result, the falsehood continued until people began to give up their bias and explore the nature with science, the objective standard.
Expressing one's mood in oppostion to his internal feeling also can't have good results. Of course it is possible to have pretended mood, but it just temporarily exists. One's character is usually inherent, or at least very inveterate. So changing his personality artificially is needless and can be even harmful. When I was young, my parents wanted me to be extroverted, but I was very reserved by nature. At first, I tried to be talkactive and pretended to be more active, but my friends told me that my behaviors were unlike me and seemed awkward. Moreover, even myself felt so uneasy thta I counld't sustain my fabricated attitude.
surely, deception of one't feeling or belief seems to be able to make good results but it is not true in the long run. But we can't change the outer world and even ourselves along with what we believe them to be. scientific facts don't matter with what we think about them because the world, or the nature, is objective to everyone. And one's innate character doesn't suddenly change to what he wants. We should know that pretending, or believing something is absolutely different from what it is.

Simple thing
Some people like simplicity while others like complexity. Me? Well...I haven't think much about this topic, and I know this problem is not something that can be deemed by just 'Yes or No'. But if I have to say my own opinion, I will choose the simplicity. Of course I like something with deep meaning and with serious thought.
But, ironically, the more serious the problem is, the simpler the answer is. As you know, we prefer justice, or the good, to vice, or the bad. And we pursue the happiness rather than the sadness. And, if you skim some history book, you can easily find this 'axiom' of life.(well..I want to give you some examples but I can't pick up one thing specifically...at now.)
Surely, deep thinking is more important than 'no thinking'. However, if you just indulge yourself on the seriousness itself, you can't find the best answer. for instance, think about a test day. if you take a test, you shouldn't think other things like these; what if my score comes out worse than I think? How will others regard me if I failed? So, the answer is simple; just concetrate on what you are doing.
...well...anyway, now I feel terribly bad because josh gave me not good grades(frankly, lol) However, I shouldn't worry about my past and future....I will rather concentrate what I should and can do. Hey, josh! don't be too picky! ㅋㅋㅋ

The Hardest Task
Many people say that there are many difficult things to do, and each of the people think different thing as the hardest to achieve. However, I think the most challenging one is to overcome myself.
recently, I'm preparing a test and it's really demanding especially for ESL people. The point is, I have to study, literally, all day. Like other korean undergraduates, I like to hang out with my friends, playing basketball and computer games, but the situation I'm in doesn't allow me to enjoy such life! Too strenuous... .
Of course, on weekends I can relax and do whatever I want, but I think that's not enough. You know, sometimes I think 'why should I live like this? just graduating from ordinary college also guarantee at least an ordinary job.' yes, it's true. But I obviously know what I want to do in the future, and the occupation demands me very, very painstaking efforts.
Even so, I sometimes 'violate' the rule I've set, and that's the problem. But i don't know what to do! Well...someone might say, 'Hey, it depends on your will!' Ok. it's alright. But he should know how much it is hard to live everyday studying from 7am to 12pm for about 4 months!...kind of BS.
Well...I think I've just complain about my life...I hope not. Anyway, I believe 'someday' I'll be able to get a score I want....Hey..Think positively! lol

A Historical Day
Do you know what day it is today? I mean, what happened in world history on November 11th? Yes, it's the same day when Abraham Lincoln delivered historical speech, the Gettysburg Address. Though I'm not an American, I really respect him and his ideal, which is clearly expressed in the address that now we called the spirit of United States.
Why is it so important even after the African americans got freedom after emancipation? First of all, the speech represents the ultimate equality and dignity of all mankind. In reality, many people suffer from the prejudices and discriminations based on their appearance and outward (superficial) status, including their skin color, nationality, ethnicity, language, social and economic status. However, the Gettysburg Address symbolizes and promises the world where everyone has the right to be treated reasonably equal before social regulation, such as law.
Moreover, it envisions the world that I want to realize in our world. In other word, it shows my ideal. The world, which I really want to bring into reality and inherit to my prosperity, is the society in which people can feel that they are really the sovereign of their world. In addition, it's the world where people will be treated equally in proportion to their efforts to succeed and no 'permanent' or 'guaranteed' minority (powerless) and majority (powerful) exist.
Of course, this goals are really hard (may look impossible) to actualize, and that's why the society shown in the Gettysburg Address doesn't come to us yet. However, compare to the ancient world, we have accomplished thousands of thousands of incredible achievements throughout history; equality before law, or the nation was just an imagination for the Roman slaves, but we now think caste systems are totally unreasonable and anachronistic. So, I think people will reach the goal someday in near future.

Difference
What's your attitude toward differnce? What do you think about difference? Are these questions too abstract? Then, what do you think about the conflicts made by the difference of people's interests, cultures and color, or, what do you think about the diversity of creatures that makes the earth filled with flourishing life energy?
yes, this question might be easy when we see just one aspect of 'differnce', but if you think about both sides of the difference, it'll be very hard to answer. But, if I have to choose one position about this topic, I'll be the one who support the variety.
First, difference let us to see the world with other viewpoints. If you are Korean, you can see the world in korean eye, but only in korean eye. However, if you know another culture and understand the people who see the world differently, you can see your life with broader recognition.
In addition, by accepting difference, we can sustain our life. Awkward? partially could be, but not. As you know, the reason why organisms evolve in different ways is to survive and adapt to the environment. If there is only one(or few) kind of life and if it is very weak to a certain pestilence or a virus, that life will be extinct. But if there are some 'different' lives, at least not every life will die.
Of course, in human society, Conformity is becoming more and more important. Still, nobody denies the value of difference, or diversity. The disadvantage of difference doesn't come from its nature, but from we, people's prejudice and hostility. When people truly acknowledge and understand the difference among them, the difference can be the strong power to flourish our life standard.

A Doubt about Reasonable Grounds for Bailout Money-2
Well..at this moment I have no other choice but to say that so-called bailout money worked, but, still, I can't agree with the review that the revival of US economy(someone might not accept the term, revival yet) results from the bailout money.
Why? In fact, when the relief money was passed in the congress and released to the market, the situation of it wasn't good and didn't rise as many expected by the effect of the bill of the bailout money. yes, the efficacy of the planned money was mostly a failure.
During the first week after the release of the money, the economic situantion was still bad(in fact, it was terrible because the depression of US economy started to affect to the world market, of course, in a bad way. And, the money in the US stock market was still decreasing, making the situatino of the market worse.
However, one thing about the bailout money was successful; the reaction of other major countries. They, including German, France, Great Britain, Japan, started to intervene their domestic market, decreasing the untrustworthy loans and coporation stocks.
And finally, by the 'involuntary' cooperation of those countries managed to stop further meltdown of world economy. he only one role that the bailout money took part was this; to show the US government's strong will to intervene the market so that it can stop further economic crisis, not the original goal which is to revive the market, facilitating the flow of currency.
What about the reactions of the most famous investors in US? Well, Warren Buffet was in favor of the bailout. But you should know that he lost nearly a quarter of his wealth through the economic crisis, and he was one of the major people who would get benefit through the bailout money plan.
nbsp         In contrast, George Soros disagreed with the planned money. But in fact it was not beacuse he really considered the ineffectiveness of the money, but because he knew that his hedge fund coporatinos would not be able to act nimbly due to the reinforced government intervention on market.
&          Anyway, in my own opinion, I still think bailout money plan was not the 'best' nor the 'recommendable' choice to support the US market. Of course, I don't know much about Economics, but I believe that the crisis was triggered by some foolish Wall street investors and government officials(including Paulson!!) and they didn't make any effort to take their responsibilities. It's wrong. Moreover, I've heard a lot of other alternatives to evacuate the economy, though they were too difficult for me to understand.
One thing we got understand and should remember from this crisis is this; Always stick to the basic principles of invest and take the responsibility from what you do by yourself.

But you should know that he lost nearly a quarter of his wealth through the economic crisis, and he was one of the major people who would get benefit through the bailout money plan.nbsp         In contrast, George Soros disagreed with the planned money.

Korean SAT Day is Coming
Yes, Korean SAT day is coming. It's left about 7 days(right?) Every korean students or everyone who has graduated from Korean highschool may know the fear of the Korean SAT. It's really horrible...yeah....and it was terrible for me....I totally failed the exam...though I'm now an undergraduate.
almost all korean high school students take the exam, and I can bet that almost every one of them will regard that exam as test for their future because the very exam determine your 'quality' to get into good, or famous Universities.
In fact, koreans harshly suffer(or, for some, take advantages) from the differences of their alma maters. And, 70% of Korean judges(ajudicators) graduated from Seoul university and 90% of them graduated from so-called SKY(abbreviation) universities.
However good your capability at work is usually can't overcome the credit of your alma mater; you are judged by your 'cover'...
I know this is wrong, but still, nobody dare to fix the problem. In fact, nearly everyone who are high officials graduated from the Korean IVY universities, so they don't even need to voluntarily give up their previleges. Its kind of BS...
well, that's why many young koreans strive to death to get good scores on korean SAT. a sad truth... .
Anyway, I hope this situation be solved in the future, and my friends take good scores this time.
Good luck to them. And good luck to me.

The New US president
The election was over, and as many expected, Barack Obama was elected as the 45th US president. I don't know whether it's a coincide that all the Americans who I know supported Obama during the election. In fact, everyone around me seemed to the advocator for Obama, and I couldn't be able to see those who would like to vote for MaCcain....a little bit funny.(I also prefer Obama to MaCcain)
Then who is Obama? He is an African American graduated from Harvard University, a pious christian(not a muslim!!), and a world-peace seeker. I don't care what his skin color is and what his religion is, but I do care what he want to achieve or his goal during his presidency; the world peace!!
Yeah... you know, the 'two' Bushs(The current president and his father) triggered wars in middle east, making perils and coflicts between the 'western(esp the US)' and the 'Middle east', or the Muslim. What do those wars mean to those victims of them?
However, because he is a democrat, a member of colored-race groups which are the minor in US society, and a enlightened gentleman, I believe he will gradually solve the civil and global conflicts without using weapons.
I want to say something more about him, but because I don't know well about him, I'll wait and see what he will do and whether he will accomplish his 'promises' that he made before about 3 billions of Americans. We shall see soon.

A Foolish Thought
Today is the first day of a new week. I started my daily life with new power, stretching myself, washing my face with cold water. Yes, it's fresh. My ordinary and normal day started just like that.
But when I got out of my house, I suddenly found that most of the signboards on streets are written in english(or english-based korean). Blue Club, Beer and Hof, PC Room, Starbucks, Monkey Coffee(?)...I can hardly find korean-only signboards. "What the... . Am I living in Korea?"
In fact, we are using too much english in our daily life. We even use english even when we have korean words to use instead of english. Why do we misuse english and 'banish' our own language, korean? What's wrong?
I know that koreans are abnormally 'indulged' in english just because they thought using english well looks they are intelligent, elegant and rich. And our society just caused the wrong thought; many koreans can't find jobs unless they have very high score on English ability tests(e.i. TOEIC).
However, the truth is that using english in our daily life doesn't mean that we are smart. In fact, it's literally a silly, foolish and BS belief. If we lose your origin, korean, speaking or using english well is meaningless. Even more, using english is not a privilege nor a guarantee. Even igonorant, illiteral americans can 'speak' and 'use' english as well as we do.
Though the truth is like this, many people still think using english looks and sounds better than using korean...I really can't understand why we, koreans, don't even feel a small amount of proud of our own culture. I know that koreans usually think foreign countries which are stronger or wealthier than our country as the better in every aspect. The so-called flunkeyism.
But we need to change the way we think the relationships and interactive positions between our culture and that of other countries. If we don't try to restore and solve this problem, we'll lose many traditional korean words again as we did when Chinese alphabet came to our country and when Japanese alphabet banished traditonal korean words.
We should remeber that we are Koreans, who can't be substituted by any other people or race, and whose language also the unique on the earth.

A Doubt about Reasonable Grounds for Bailout Money-1

The bailout money was released. the finantial plan was passed by US parliament, both the senate and the house. Many US politicians said in common, "the bailout money is needed to sustain and revive our economy." Ok. I understand their argument. Then, for whom and what will the huge amount of money be used? That very important factor remained ambiguous even after the bailout money plan was passed.

The first problem is that, as I mentioned, for whom and what the money will be used. As we already know, the economic meltdown was occurred by the very greedy Wall street investors and foolish US government which leaded many people to invest in real estate by the mortgage policy. However, the money is planned to be used for rescuing those people. You know, the same people inappropriately invested real estate market, buying land on speculation, disturbing the natural demand and production in free market. But now they are getting a help from the government! without being asked about their previous faults and mistakes. Is it really justifiable to offset their misleading strategy to make bubbles in free market by public money? Are they really the important people that shouldn't be collapsed to sustain US economy? I totally disagree. They should, no, must, take their responsibility on making the economic crisis.
The second problem is that who will have to pay for the bailout money. I can say that everyone in the whole world is the person who should pay the 'bill'. Why? As you know, US government doesn't have such a big money in its hands right now. So the typical two ways to make the money is to make new money and issuing relatively uncreditable bonds. the former one seems easy and is a very effective in a short term. However, making more money means the rarity of money decreases, causing a great inflation in economy. And if this happens, the result will be much more disasterous.

What about the second way? Though the US government issues more bonds, because many people now know that dollars are losing power, not many people would willingly buy them. Moreover, if the US market suffer from a new depression, there is no way to get the payback. Whichever the US government choose the way, everyone who is a US creditor has to face the damage about their money.
...this series will continue... .

D-Day is Coming...
Oh, no.... D-day is coming... . D-day is the day to take an exam... which is very important for me... Still, i did nothing for it.... In fact, I don't know how to prepare the exam...OMG.
Only 60 days are left... .What should I do? What can I do? It's too short... .
I desperately want to go "the world", but I can't tell you what "the world" is... . It's not the time to tell you my secret... .
I always study from 8 a.m to 12p.m. but I don't think it's enough....to get a good score.... Damn it...(sorry to use this expression but I don't think there is any other appropriate word to express my feeling)
The only hope is that I will be able to enjoy winter vacation after I take the exam....
I really hope that I get a good score....

Game: Total War
I like computer games very much. In fact, you can say that I'm a game maniac who can enjoy(or 'live in') computer games whole day. I acknowledge that I'm hooked on games. However, I don't think this habbit negatively affects my life. It just a kind of an activity just like other hobbies.
So, I want to recommend you a new game, Total War. This game is made my SEGA, one of the biggest game corporations in the world, but the important thing is that this game has the most delicate and vivid computer graphic system in the whole game world. Unit motions are better than ever, srpassing those of other games.
Even more, you can control your own armies which number about 30,000 at largest. If you play the game, you will fill as if you were really at the battle field. Ok, a thousand hearings are not worth one seeing. If you can't believe my saying, just PLAY it!
Here is one of the screen shots of Empire total war, the newest version of the Total War series.
This one is a video. Remember, this is an actual gameplay footage.

The UN...UN?

Sometimes, I doubt the justice of UN. Simply because it doesn't take action when it is really needed. Consider about the Tibettan revolution(I think this word is quite right). Many tibettans are killed, or 'slaugtered' by chinease soldiers. The soldiers killed those who are unarmed citizens or monks. The chinese government said the 'uproar(it diverted the movement like this)' occurred because of Dalai-Lama and his exetreme followers. However, many video data showed us that it was totally a one-sided hunting. The problem is that UN didn't react to this situation, though it knew it was ovbiously a violation of human right chater, which is enacted by UN.

What about Iraq war? Even after the US attacked Iraq without any reasonable reason, UN just looked on the war with indifference. It were the ordinary people who actually opposed the war and protested against the greed of US government. Of course, many Americans also knew that the war was wrong itself.
When the global reproach attacks UN, the UN officers repeat the answer:"we can't neglect the sovereignty of a contury." Ok, let's take it as a reasonable answer. Then why did they intervene in the civil war of Sudan? What about the crisis at East Timor?
The reason why I seriously take the duplicity of UN is not only that my country suffered from japanese colonization, but also the main reason of existence of UN is its goal to achieve global peace.
I understand that UN depends hugely on superpower, including US, though UN is a global organization. I also know that UN's activities, called Peace Keeping Operation, really works. However, UN officers should also ackowledge that if UN maintains its doubtful position, it will be an ordinary world organization in name only, as the League of Nations was.
I hope UN regains its intial purpose and its independence, not to mention its objective judgement. Of course there will be very hard obstacle to overcome, but without the effort, it'll never be able to keep world peace.
We should remember that The UN means United nations.

History Repeats Itself
Many people have said human history has some patterns or something in common. When I was young, I didn't believe the notion because I thought our society has been changed and still is changing.
Have a brief look around us or look at a history book. There is nothing in common in our past societies' appearance. For example, our ancestors made many dolmens, which are like Stonhenge in Britain(though each of which has different purpose),. but we don't make them today. Moreover, we don't have a monarch or emperor any more because we believe all human is equal.
However, I changed my belief, thinking about the 'pattern and basic organization' of the past and present societies. Of course we are not living in monarchy nor do we believe in the god of nature. Nevertheless, we are living in a nation, community, and neighborhood and we still need politics, science, philosophy, law, etc. This fact means our essential form of life hasn't been changed. It just developed its form into more complicated, elaborated one.
Wars happen again and again. Economy has affected our life in every moment since it appeared in history. And we study so-called classical sciences and books. You know, the algebra we are studying today was created during the 17th century in Europe. Many people suffer from the problems related with love, friendship, or kinship as our ancstors did. Why do we feel sympathy with the work of Shakespeare? It's simply because we have something in common.
History can tell not what our future life in appearance will be but what our situation will be as long as we live as human. We have love, greed, aspiration, hope, reason as our ancestors had, and this connection makes an ovbiously repetitious pattern in our life. Maybe, I think, that's why we are still looking back our past.

The Beautiful World

This is today's Astronomy Picture. The scenery is just a imaginary picture, but I think it may exist somewhere in the universe. What's your feeling about the landscape? Isn't it amazing? Isn't it fantastic?! Yeah! It really is great and wonderful...that we might be unable to see such a tableau in the rest of our life.
Sometimes I imagine a totally different world from our planet, earth. The new world...which has greatly different law of nature. It could be possible to use magic(such as raising the dead, summoning a fairy, etc). You may think I'm crazy, but it really is possible at somewhere in the universe.
You know, A famous astronomer said "You should ackonwledge that earth is very exceptional planet. Your common sense is just limited in our planet, not the whole universe." Yes, this is the "truth" that we have to accept.
This truth sounds weird. However, think about the world that has black holes, twisted spaces, and weightless world. Can you really imagine how it will be? These basic and small facts that we already know as the common characteristics of cosmos totally break down our daily knowledge.
I hope in the future poeple travel the universe in a very short time, live in other planets, and find the secret of the universe. No, It should be to finish the conflict in our planet, earth. Fortunately, The possibility is becoming true by our scientific breakthrough in astromy, phisics, etc.
Though my opinion is just a possibility yet, I have no doubt that The forseen future is near. To live in a new world...fantastic. Now I dream about the future...with a little hope.
